I'm glad she feels that way. BUT....

This morning I was giving Emmett a bath a 6am. Anabelle was hanging out with me and discussing whether or not this would indeed be our last baby. I asked her if she wanted me to have more and she said if I would have six more kids she promised to take care of half of them. I told her I thought she should have 12 kids and I promised I would help her take care of them. She said, "I don't know if I can have that many kids." What am I, some kind of spring chicken?

I hope she does. Kids love her. And I really couldn't do it without her help.

Lunch: unassisted

I love watching a toddler become self sufficient. Except when I don't. Like when I don't have time to give them a bath after every meal, wash the entire highchair, or wash 4 outfits a day. Other than those small factors I sincerely adore the process.

The stuff we got lately

Emmett got RSV. That landed him in the hospital for a few days. Our families fasted and prayed for him and right when he was supposed to be "peaking" and at his worst, he started breathing perfectly. We were grateful beyond words for that little miracle. He was a champ in the hospital and all the nurses kept commenting that they never have babies smile at them during deep suction treatments. He was a delightful little champ for the majority of the time.

Lila got her tonsils and adenoids taken out. Never a word of complaint from her, nor would she take any medicine. Does she feel pain? I have to know if she even has a pain threshold. And she got a cool hair do from Dad for crazy hair day at school, which she was very excited about and gave us several reminders.

Anabelle got glasses! She was all sorts of pumped up about it too. She was literally counting down until the first day that they might possibly come in. She also got crazy hair from Mom.

Elise got tired of wearing diapers. So she takes them off. Always. Also clothes. Always. I think her mantra is "Naked, always".

Maisey got some serious dance moves. Yesterday at the BX she broke into full voice song, vibrato included for dramatic effect, whilst dancing all over the place. We received quite a few comments and others that were just straight up laughing.

Couch candy!

Emmett spends his days hanging out on some part of the couch. He's been sat on. And elbowed. He's taken a football to the face. I've picked him up a few times to find that he's wearing fancy bracelets. Sometimes the girls bring him baby dolls to keep him company ( in case they decide to give him 5 minutes alone). I frequently find that his head is covered in yogurt kisses. He's very content to hang out and watch the chaos ensue. He gives ginormous gummy smiles to anyone willing to give one first. I think he's feeling the love.

3 days old- For family home evening we decided this was a no brainer for Mr. Pumpkin Pie.

"Thanks, Mom! That was delicious!"

As a special surprise to Lila I let her feed Emmett with a bottle. Because I don't believe for one second that there is anybody on the planet earth who loves a baby more than Lila.
