Just kidding. No, he's not. He's too cute to be in trouble. But he has developed a rascally little habit over the course of the fall season. He climbs up to my adorable pumpkin collection on the fireplace.....smiles at me as if to say, "what?! Nothin to see here!"......
......and then he proceeds to hit my pumpkins repeatedly until he knocks it off the hearth. Once he gets it onto the floor he continues hitting it until he gets it all the way across the room and onto the tiled hallway. Then his game gets really fun because it gets louder. I've come to realize that once he finds something he likes to play with, he takes it to the tile to see how loud he can make it. Once he has rolled his pumpkin to his favorite place, he bowls it down the hallway. He ruined several of my pumpkins this way.
I can't wait to see what he'll do to the Christmas tree.
That pumpkin is the same size of his head! We really should have named him Mr. Pumpkin Pie.
The obligatory Christmas card picture. The one with not enough light because we were ten minutes late because of all the girls (and their hair and their losing one of each pair of shoes and their NEED for a banana). The ones where Lila spit her toothpaste on her shirt and Maisey insisted on choir hands.
....is that you get to see a side of him that is otherwise completely private from the world. I suppose most parents are this way. But his voices and impersonations are so funny it feels at first like a shame not to share those belly laughs. On second thought though, I really love that he saves his funniest material for those who's laughs matter most to him- his kids. These pictures are of him talking in a Donald Duck voice. He calls his character Pepe. Pepe doesn't come out often, but when he does, it results in uproarious laughter and the most captive audience I've ever seen. They hang on every word he says. He really quacks them up.
