Yellowstone

We spent a few days in Yellowstone. We camped there. Because we're hard core like that. And we're cheap. And we want our girls to love the mountains and dirt instead of makeup and boys. Because we all know what makeup and boys lead to. We met 5 or 6 families camping there who also had 3 girls. We wondered at the connection between a family of girls and a camping vacation. Do others share our secret fear of girls on cell phones who constantly gloss their lips and are overly interested in fashion? Do we think we can prevent such atrocities by exposing them to an early life of the great outdoors and family togetherness? We're giving it our best shot, I can tell you that much.

We had a great time. Maisey did her cool traveling trick where she cried at night in lieu of sleeping. And Anabelle and Maisey woke up the whole camp site each night with disputes over blankets and pillows. But the rest of it was magical- the girls being each others only playmates, eating food cooked over a fire, being together as a whole enitre family, driving around surrounded by breathtaking beauty and fascinating animals.
